WATCH: “Research shows routine traffic enforcement by armed police does not actually improve traffic safety.” @avitale echoes what MEMPHIS activists are saying - that we need to do policing differently and shift money from bloated police budgets to other preventative measures.

Why do we highlight the issues with @MEM_PoliceDept Chief? here’s a thread from a crime reporter who saw the same things in her Atlanta days, where bad policy and another out of control police unit made things worse — he also thinks she (and those who hired her) should resign…
The Memphis video reminds me of the way people used to describe how Atlanta's REDDOG anti-drug unit worked. Memphis' police chief, Cerelyn Davis, oversaw REDDOG before it was disbanded for its murderous abuses. Atlanta tried - and failed - to fire Davis for an act of corruption.

In case anyone’s forgotten, the murder of Tyre Nichols by Memphis police officers is why Colin Kaepernick took a knee.

Biden getting blamed for not securing the border? How is Biden responsible for something Trump never finished? Wasn't that the idea of BUILD A WALL project so that our borders would be secured? Trumps fault for starting what he could never finish.

New York Times bombshell investigation exposes new details and "ethical" breaches in the failed effort by Trump AG Bill Barr to tarr the DOJ, and find a "deep state" bias against Donald Trump. --never a doubt that Barr was T's personal lawyer. msn.com/en-us/news/politics/…

The eight stages of Trump’s guilt: 1. “I didn’t do it” 2. “I didn’t do anything wrong” 3. “I didn’t do anything illegal” 4. “The people accusing me are guilty” 5. “The law is illegal” 6. “Prove it!” 7. “What happened didn’t happen” 8️⃣ “It’s fine, I did it and I’ll do it again...”

What’s horrible is that the legislators, & other govt officials in these states that are banning books, AP courses, etc. aren’t even qualified educators. They start eliminating curriculum they deem “inappropriate” to spare the feelings of those who can’t accept historical truth.
I taught African-American History for three years in FL to mostly white students. No theory, no CRT, just simple historical facts. Got the same reaction from every class - ‘Wow, we didn’t learn any of that stuff in US History!’thedailybeast.com/desantis-b…

Still no apology from all of the Republicans who blamed Paul Pelosi for his own attack when he was clearly attempting to diffuse the situation any way he could. Even after the attacker Pape confessed and the video was shown . The GOP has no common decency or empathy for anyone.

I was a freshman in high school, sitting in geography class when the news broke out. They sent us home early that day. We were all devastated.
37 years ago, we lost seven brave explorers when the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded right after takeoff. Today, we remember them and are thinking of their families and loved ones.

If you can watch these brutal executions of black men by police for minor infractions and not be sickened by it you might be a MAGAt.

The Memphis police, could have just let him run. They had his car, and could find him later, by the registration/license plate. #TyreNichols did not have to die.

I really look forward to 2024 if the GOP House keeps up the pace of anti American legislation like they have proposed so far. I will make an ad where MTG wants to impeach Biden for lowering gas prices. After saying the most most important issue in America is high gas prices.

The USA police are fascist gangs from California to New York to Pennsylvania to Colorado to every other state. Defund and abolish is the only way out.
