#OnThisDay in 1752, John Claypoole, a Revolutionary War veteran and the third husband of Betsy Ross, was born in Mount Holly, N.J. Last summer, Claypoole's handwritten diary from 1781-82 was discovered in a shoebox and donated to the Museum. Read more: bit.ly/3xShrJU
