Good! Policy of constant growth is not what we need.
馃嚞馃嚙Population growth is slowing. ONS figures out today show we are not even at 70m yet. Germany is already at 84m. Our fertility crisis is driven by a housing crisis & childcare cost crisis. The UK needs to gently densify its cities & do more to address our decline in fertility.

It would make more sense to remove VAT on energy & fuel 鉀斤笍 to bring down inflation.
News: Downing Street confirm Britain's State pension will rise by double figures, as much as 10%, by next year, to protect the elderly against inflation. Ministers have repeated a pledge that the triple lock on pensions is now set to return in April 2023.

Brexit will bankrupt the country, financially, morally, culturally and ethically.

Yep & printing all the cash to finance it

This is bollocks. We have so far given 拢2billion to Ukraine. We spent over 拢400billion on Covid lockdowns. We spend about 拢12 billion every year on Green taxes. It鈥檚 the Green crap, lockdowns and money printing which has caused price inflation NOT the Ukraine war.

I hate the conservatives but little pricks like you make me think things could be worse !
Here鈥檚 the point about last week鈥檚 by-elections. A majority of the UK don鈥檛 want a Tory government led by Johnson. Voters know how to choose to get them out without pacts or pincers

My constructive suggestion is that perhaps some of the successful business people who campaigned for Brexit should contribute to securing this fascinating, world-leading research. Any interest @jcbmachines, @arron_banks, @prcmarshall, @TobyBaxendale ? ccistc.psychol.cam.ac.uk/abo鈥

I couldn鈥檛 care less about your small personal inconvenience. Returning democracy to the U.K. is more important
I'm waiting at customs in Heathrow, having paid 拢700 to get our equipment in & out of the country. We are off to Italy. Before Brexit there was no charge & no customs delay A real world example of Brexit making things more expensive, inefficient, difficult & less enjoyable

Ultimately voters are to blame for electing politicians that take them to the cleaners.
On Boris and cost-of living. Most people understand Covid's had an impact. What they object to is the fake boosterism. "We're cutting your taxes!" when taxes are rising. "We're going to hep with fuel costs!" when petrol prices soar. They're tired of him taking them for fools.

Good to see yesterday that the U.K. has grown faster than Germany, France and Italy since the 2016 vote for Brexit. Pity the Treasury is trying to end that with too many tax rises.

The UK is faring worst of all G20 countries (bar Russia) with the same obstacles. The difference is that the UK has erected its self imposed barriers to trade which are going nowhere.

How about a Memorial Day to celebrate the U.K.s pivotal role in ending slavery, rather rewriting history.
Apparently Charles wants a national memorial day the same as we do for the Holocaust to comemerate the slave trade and the dark days of the United Kingdom
