The #TuckerTerrorist apparently lived in Conklin, NY, a town of 5,008 people, only 48 of whom are Black.
Conklin is in Broome County, NY, which has a Black population of ~3.5%.
He drove almost four hours to a zip code that was 85% Black and attacked its largest grocery store.

But more importantly nowadays, it's the fact that it's a massive pecuniary interest. If an MP owned $5m in pharmaceutical stocks, and made decision on pharmaceutical policies, the conflict of interest is obvious right? So why not with $5m worth of houses?

When they lie to the Congress, they lie to the people. Their legitimacy depends on the consent of the governed. When they manufacture that consent through deception, they destroy their own legitimacy. These people have broken a fundamental contract underpinning our democracy.
What does it mean for rule of law in America if nominees to the Supreme Court feel free to say things that they may not actually believe during public confirmation hearings and to Senators in private as a tactic to get confirmed?
