The likelihood of a teacher strike? At first glance, 4 in 10 doesn't seem super high. And some teachers are getting >3%, though not as much as inflation. But 38% were unsure & only 20% said 'no'- so I wouldn't rule it out. tes.com/magazine/news/genera… Excl by @matilda__martin

Secondary students with SEND were twice as likely to trigger one of the 3 criteria for absence fines proposed by DfE. More fines for SEND parents - as SEND funding (and support) is squeezed - feels difficult to square.
❗️New analysis from @FFTEduDatalab shows that just last term, more than a quarter of a million students would have met the proposed new government threshold for an absence fine being considered @tes tes.com/magazine/news/genera…

Surely it's unthinkable that the @NatInstTeaching *wouldn't* pass DfE accreditation. Isn't it?
🚨After uncertainty in the sector, @educationgovuk has confirmed @NatInstTeaching will have to go through ITT accreditation... We can guess this will be at round 2 as the flagship provider will have missed round 1 with the contract only given to SLDT in May

You might’ve spotted our very own @heymrshallahan on today’s @GMB talking about our @tes poll on what schools need to support autistic pupils more effectively (see vid below for a snippet):

A reminder that the "fairer" national funding formula for schools was mooted in the 2010 Schools White Paper & introduced in 'soft' form in 2018. It now isn't expected to be fully implemented until 2027 😵
