2. Restricting SNAP benefits axios.com/newsletters/axios-… #axiosdesmoines Sounds like the outsourcing (Privatization) of Medicaid Insurers are preparing to ask for more cash and this is a way for our lawmakers to slw that 'ask' before the Public School defunding takes place.

4.🔫 Pic du jour: #BringYourOwnGun axios.com/newsletters/axios-… #axiosdesmoines "Please, no Photos" is in keeping Iowans in the dark about who attends these meetings. Personalized targets, maybe? Can I bring my own of Kim Reynolds? Thought so. People of color are the preferred target.

Man who fell from unmarked drop outside Neal Smith federal building can't sue, courts rule. Ah, but the Feds, by installing railings/barriers to stop access, had admitted liability. State of Iowa did the same when a death occurred in a State Parking Lot.
Our kids deserve the same high quality education we received in Iowa! That’s why I believe public dollars belong in public schools! It’s time our leaders did as well. #Iowa

Poll - There's a red wave rising. Yep, the fact that Republicans still prefer Trump over a Democrat tells me all I need to know about their brand of 'Patriotism'. No better than the mislabeled prostitute residing in Terrace Hill.

1 big thing: Iowa's losing skilled workers axios.com/newsletters/axios-…. My daughter got her Bachelor's degree. Her long time employer raIsed her compensation 5 CENTS! She left; the first place she applied to in Minnesota offered her employment with a starting wage 30% higher. Gone...

Classics is in session at Iowa’s newest charter schools. Doesn't the Governor know it's theft? Not simply embezzling from a small town by a clerk; this is theft of State Dollars by a Governor who had no problem driving drunk multiple times. Her judgement renders her unqualified.

2. 🧑‍🏫 Iowa teachers earn less than peers. Iowa's pay gap compared to peers in other States being worse in Colorado by several percentage points was explained to me 50years ago. 'The scenery is worth a $1.00 an hour pay cut'. At the time I was earning $5.00/hr. $4.25 in Colorado.
Meme baby lawsuit against former Rep. Steve King set for trial in November desmoinesregister.com/story/… via @DMRegister ""I had no involvement or prior knowledge whatsoever". Hmmm. Seems I recall a Judge saying 'Ignorance of the Law is no excuse'. He could've stopped at 'Ignorance'.

Public schools, especially those in rural areas, shouldn’t have to pay this steep price for @IAGovernor’s political agenda. Iowans trust our public schools. It’s time to stop the attacks and give up the private voucher scheme. bit.ly/3QW44iv

Council member Sheumaker files counterclaim against Des Moines officers who arrested her in 2020 https://www.desmoinesreg. How are the police even allowed to sue an arrestee? Isn't that part of the job; a chance they take? Could a Carpenter sue Home Depot because of a splinter?
Des Moines Register Political Soapbox bringing 2022 candidatesl-soapbox-candidate-speeches-iowa-state-fair/10017928002/ via @DMReg I don't see when Iowa's Senator Grassley is scheduled. Has he been indicted by the Jan. 6th Committee? I wanted to question his comments Jan. 5th.
After gutting nursing home inspections because the residents there shouldn't be expected to be cared for when only paying upwards of $6000 a month, it should be no surprise that residential landlords want a similar 'deal'. Unregulated 'Freedom'-and Capitalism. What could go wron?

Kim had a good instructor-her father. He refused to join the Union, using 'Right to Work' law to skirt any responsibility for wage gains but for sure took whatever his 'brothers' fought for. Her mindset is similar-take what you can get and give back as little as you can.

1 big thing: The future of Des Moines' viaducts axios.com/newsletters/axios-… #axiosdesmoines Should Des Moines demolish viaducts? NO. What are you going to do? Eliminate railroad traffic through downtown during 'rush hours? Build a new fire station on the other side of the tracks?
