Hey, @Indiegogo, I get it. You don't want to promote the Black female YA author. Honestly, you wouldn't be the first and you won't be the last. But do you think you could stop sending me rejection emails? I've gotten 5 in the last 24 hours.
This reeks of Massive Resistance. $30M taxpayer dollars are available for grants for "tutoring, summer enrichment programs and other specialized services." Really? So, there is additional money for education, just not for public education. newsvirginian.com/news/state…

Massive Resistance was a group of laws, passed in 1956, intended to prevent integration of the schools. Tuition grants were a key part of the strategy. In 1959, tuition grants of $250 per pupil were issued. These were later dubbed white tuition. vcdh.virginia.edu/civilright…

The phrase "tax-financed tuition grants" is key. We've already established that diverting taxpayer dollars to private organizations in the form of grants is a big no-no. Let's call a thing a thing, regardless of if it's called a grant, a credit, a voucher or "choice" it's racist.

Wow. This reeks of privilege.
If you have pitched 150 agents who handle books in your genre and don’t have representation, look inward. Is the pitch working-you will have page and full requests. Is it no after the pages? Ms needs work. Don’t give up—figure it out and hang in there. But don’t just self publish
