ODM PARTY must now restrategize. There are characters in that party who must now go. They have outlived their usefulness.

1/ President Ruto yesterday curiously called for 'bipartisanship' in parliament to execute his agenda. The irony is that for the last four years, Ruto railed against 'bipartisanship' forged by President Uhuru and Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga.

2/ The 12th parliament was arguably the most bipartisan parliament, with the opposition backing the agenda of the ruling Jubilee during the entirety of the term of parliament.

3/ If bipartisanship was wrong when President Uhuru pursued it, why is right now?

4/ President Ruto wants to eat his cake and have it. If he believes in the "super-majority" of his UDA/KK delegation to parliament, why not just pursue his legislative agenda singularly, backed only by his party/coalition in parliament?

5/ The other curious issue the President raised was ammending Standing Orders to allow CSs to sit in parliament. Wasn't this what his "linda katiba" gang and their judiciary appendages rejected from the high court all the way to the supreme court?

6/ President Uhuru & Raila Odinga long observed that the current parliamentary model, based on American type Congress, does not fit our socio-political realities. Boldly, in BBI, they returned to the Westminister model, scrapping the CSs and returning Ministers to parliament.

7/ If, again, President Uhuru and Raila Odinga were wrong on this, and courts dismissed them as such, how can it now be that what was wrong by the constitution can be corrected by Standing Orders?

8/ President Ruto won the election as the candidate of the constitution. He defeated some of the changes he now desperately needs. The fact is, the current parliamentary model is unfit for our country. It was unfit when Uhuru/Raila moved to reform it, it's still unfit now.

9/ What is strange now, though, is that a regime that romped to power by bashing fundamental structural reforms to the constitution is now attempting to pursue cosmetic reforms using the backdoor. How convenient?

10/ Will be interesting to see how Ruto navigates these many landmines he planted on his way to power. Safe to say that this is going to be the most confused government the country has ever seen, with the real possibility of being rejected in toto in 2027. Jose Carmago, surely?

Nairobi County Assembly Speaker rescind 'Azimio Leadership' list sneaked in by elements said to be sympathetic to Gov. @SakajaJohnson preferred line-up. Though ODM is the majority single party, other Azimio parties contribute substantial numbers to warrant sharing of the slots.

Hon. Junet Mohamed came very close to snatching DP Ruto the presidency, but for the usual disorganization on our side... Doyen knows this, and politicians know who on the other side to keep an eye on. My boss with 'doyen' earlier today 😆😊👍 @EricNgeno #13thParliamentKe

President Ruto makes, perhaps, one of the shortest inaugural parliamentary opening speeches ever. Novelty.
