Sorry. Not beautiful. And no amount of authoritarian tolerance is going to change that.

It was literally the words he said in his speech. On accident, maybe. I'm going to be generous and assume there's an element of strategic ambiguity here.
This is irresponsible. This chyron makes it seem like this is somehow a war aim.
Our allies must be livid.

It is actually a huge problem if Biden said "Putin cannot remain in power" off the cuff, not because Putin should remain in power but because that's the kind of remark that could change the history of the world and if he ad-libbed it casually that is TERRIFYING

What if instead of ordering people to pretend like everything's going super great, we acknowledged that things are NOT super great and then tried to do BETTER instead of pointing at Trump and saying he's worse this is not how you inspire voters to show up on election days

Isn't this the point in recursive history where we ought to open the lend-lease floodgates to Ukraine?

I’m going to go ahead and embrace both-sidesism and recognize the co-epidemic is solipsism.

Remember when Joe Rogan had the inside information about Jeffrey Epstien but didn't release it to the public because he didn't want to ruin his relationship with the royal family? That was wild.

The Melissa Chen episode (#1427) is a gem. open.spotify.com/episode/1vV…
Yes, I will die on this hill. You cannot buy authenticity and love. The reason people *love* Joe Rogan is because the conversations he has on his podcast reflect the conversations that people have in real life. For starters, the format. It's long and searching and not set up

1/ Since you asked, and I love your work, I'll tell you. This is a professional political attack. Three waves one right after the other is not a coincidence. Good spacing, good timing, so it's absolutely professional. But who was it you ask? That takes some digging but...
Who y’all think is behind this attack on Rogan?

Instead of jockeying to brandish liberal credentials like a badge of sainthood, it’s time to reject the paradigm altogether. What’s happening here is the full-scale effort to make the political opinions of half of the country unspeakable, and soon, unthinkable.

This whole thread is a fantastic, but this is easily my favorite part. “I’m a convoy protester guy/arsoner.”
Replying to @jonkay
my fav detail about this real thing that totally happened: tenant asks arsonist—mid-arson—who he is. arsoner stops his arsoning & says "I'm a convoy protestor guy/arsoner" Then he continues arsoning, while tenant goes to bed in his soon-to-be-immolated building & doesn't call 911

Censorship only succeeds if they can’t see you doing it. Otherwise it does the opposite of succeed.
