Greatly saddened that my beloved mum, GP and wife to @KailashChandOBE Dr Anisha Malhotra passed away this afternoon. Her extraordinary kindness and compassion only matched by the wonderful #NHS staff on the Cardiology unit in @tandgicft. R.I.P. Mama, you’ll always be in my heart

My GP, Doctor P, has been looking after me with great care and diligence. I am beyond grateful. I won't be slagging off our doctors anytime soon.

I’ve witnessed a lot of self hatred on Twitter today amongst doctors. I understand why. Dig deep, be brave and have more compassion for yourself. You’ll become a better doctor and your patients will thank you for it.

29-year-old cricketer, Avi Barot, has passed away unexpectedly from cardiac arrest. “He was down with COVID (last year), and got vaccinated. This comes as a huge shock for all of us.” RIP 🏏 telegraphindia.com/sports/sa…

So sorry. Yes ‘silence becomes cowardice when occasion demands speaking out the whole truth and acting accordingly’

You are a brave doctor for speaking out. Everything you say is true. My mother experienced more than a decade of incompetence and terrible levels of avoidable suffering before her death in August.

NHS has been underfunded for last 10 years. We have shortages of doctors and nurses. All of us working in the NHS have been warning for this. Our political choices have failed to address inequalities and social determinants of health. This is not the fault of medial profession.

She's limited who can see her tweets now, stupid woman. So much nastiness directed to those trying to help people, to empower them to improve their health. Thank you @DrAseemMalhotra for speaking out.

It’s great to see other people take credit for my work on this. You can tell someone’s real character 😉
I must admit, I find the approach of @DoctorChrisVT and @xandvt to the subject of diet modification and UPF much more useful than that of @DrAseemMalhotra

Never head of the other 2, (and I’m a mum so I think they’re aimed at me and mine). But we know who you are, and not one single further generation of my family will be raised without understanding both the big health picture, and the countervailing role of propaganda.

I must admit, I find the humanitarian values and compassion in Dr Malhotra’s messaging to be of much more value to society and benefit to public discourse than some other Medics cold, clinical comparisons. ❤️
