It is time to have a serious conversation about the revolution of work. Being stuck in 20th century-influenced ways of working are making us less productive and unhealthier. #4dayweek is the #futureofwork @4DayWeekIreland @lockhart_charli @andrewhbarnes @4dayweek_global

And to clarify one principle: The aim of the @4DayWeekIreland is to implement a 100-80-100 principle of work. 100% pay, for 80% of the traditional working week, for 100% of the same business outcome. #FutureOfWork

We used to work a 6-day work until we found it was bad for business and bad for people. We're now working a 5-day week knowing it is bad for business and bad for people. 4 day work week is the #FutureOfWork

Fascinating report, trying to find the number of companies involved in this pilot and their average size?

Is the study published and available?
I almost guarantee US companies would use this as an excuse to cut pay 25% plus if they did this at all. For providing benefits for 80% of the previous hours. Or whatever other excuse they could conjur up.

Ok.. I agree with a 4 day work week. I'm curious though.. which scheduling dynamic did they use? 4 - 10 hour days? 4 - 8 hour days? 3 - 12hr days and 1 6hr day? Split shifts? 3 or 2 shift rotation? There's so many ways to implement a 4 day work week, so I'm curious.

There are a lot of jobs which can’t work 4 days mine for example we also work weekends in readiness for Monday so if there’s a 4 day week for most people then what the 4 day week then becomes no good and it’s reduced to 3? More pressure to deliver work in a shorter time frame
Dale. Has any of this trial been carried out in healthcare model?
