Imagine how much better all our lives would be if all the energy devoted to maintaining psych, pharma, and economic systems that "disorder," pathologize, and atomize our trauma responses was focused on changing the societal and family systems that cause trauma in the first place.

I was "lucky." When my father abused me I didn't get pregnant (He started early and I was a late bloomer).
We are now living in a world where people like my younger self are being forced to carry these pregnancies to term.
That cannot stand.
Abortion is now illegal in Missouri.
No exceptions for rape or incest.
Right before I was elected, I met a pregnant 11 year old who has been raped by her uncle.
