Quick update on my health: was transferred to ICU last night. My oxygen numbers were good, but I was panting to get there. Docs laid out some treatments, but I could tell they didn’t have faith in them. This could have lead to the ventilator, which w/ my disease is not good.

Language control is simply a fetish at this point. Some midwit who thinks "writings" sounds more negative than "manifesto" is going to dedicate their life to making rules about how you can write and speak.
We don't use the term manifesto in reference to a racist diatribe. It glorifies racist hatred. Other terms such as diatribe, screed or writings can work instead.

White supremacy is when athletes are paid millions of dollars to play an entertaining game while fans of all races depart with their comparatively meagre salaries to celebrate them.
White fans were entertained by Black athletes a day after a racist killed Black people in Buffalo — this is what white supremacy looks like dlvr.it/SQTVV4

In a few years, the meaning of white supremacy will just be, "You are white." Which is good, probably, because the sooner these virtually meaningless terms are deflated by ridiculous overuse, the better.

I'm socially conservative, and obviously I'd like to persuade other people that social conservatism is better than alternative ideologies. But I'd vastly prefer to debate an open-minded progressive than a dogmatic conservative.

If you haven't been ratioed on twitter, then you haven't challenged your followers adequately. That's my sage philosophy.

The debate about demographic change in the US is vexing because mainstream views run roughly from "It's good" to "It's great." Some who don't like demographic change thus become alienated, embittered, and attracted to hateful, conspiratorial ideas.

I don't think we'll ever agree about immigration or demographic change. We're an enormous country with riotous diversity. But if we don't allow a place in public for demographic conservatives, we'll continue to see an ugly backlash filled with confused animosity.

Those who are demographic conservatives should unhesitatingly and enthusiastically denounce violence and conspiracism while trying to persuade others that their orientation to the world is perfectly legitimate, even if others ultimately reject it.

Open debate is not always better; but in this case, I think it is. I think demographic conservatives need a place in the public conversation so that they are less captivated by iconoclasts who don't work to compromise with reality.

*Open debate about some issues that we've already decided, e.g., white supremacy is bad, child pornography is bad, is not edifying, in my view.

It’s hard to imagine a less productive but more predictable response to a mass shooting than “This is the fault of my political enemies and proves that we need to stop tolerating them.”

There's a pathological kind of egalitarianism that rejects all judgments, those of beauty, of goodness, and even of truth, in the name of equality. Nope. Some people are more beautiful than others; some behaviors are better than others; and some statements are true.
