Another dreadful attack on civilians in crowded #Hazara market W. #Kabul, continuing pattern of crimes claimed by ISIS. My sincere condolences to victims🙏 #Taliban df authorities are responsible for protecting all #Afghans. Perpetrators of Int crimes must be brought to justice.
#Afghanistan UNSG : “Attacks against civilians and civilian objects are strictly prohibited under international humanitarian law.” - The perpetrators of such attacks will need to be held accountable. IHL crucial for @EUinAfghanistan - Condolences!
#Afghanistan Consistent message of almost all women in Afg :”Let us get on with our lives.”, in business, education, private or public sector. Restrictive views of a tiny minority imposed with a negative impact on Afg nation. @UNAMAnews@EUinAfghanistan
In every province I travelled, Afghan women told me they will not give up. They will not accept their systematic exclusion from public life, and restrictions on their right to learn, to work, and to have a voice.

Heard of casings? To help to resume exports, 🇪🇺 #EU supports the sector to renew animal and public health standards. This would lead to the creation of 140 jobs, including for 50 ♀️, in a company in Kabul we visited. There are 5 more casings companies in Afghanistan #jobcreation
Meeting with media representatives 📝 and visiting premises in #Kabul. Here at @TOLOnews 📺 to discuss freedom of expression and the press, the state of the media in Afghanistan, the work of ♀️ women journalists & access to information
Terrible and very sad news of terrorist violence against a Sikh Gurdwara in #Kabul with several reported victims. Religious (and ethnic) pluralism needs to be protected with full force.
“Some of the shops inside the Gurdwara caught fire, at least two explosions took place inside.” A senior aid to Taliban interior ministry tells me. Footage - social media.
The step between likening people to animals and starting treating them the same way is often short. And neither of these actions seems characteristic of a respectable, legitimate or recognisable ‘government’ that cares about the citizens or about its own reputation in the world.
2/2 In addition to professional integration, the EU 🇪🇺maintains a strong commitment to the vocational development of returnees. The EU-funded tailoring training centre in Kabul provides much needed #entrepreneurship opportunities to many female ♀️returnees 🟰
1/2 EUDEL 🇪🇺 visited a wire and cable company in Kabul employing Afghan returnees this week. The EU-funded #RADAproject is implemented by @IOMAfghanistan and aims at supporting returning Afghans from 🇮🇷 Iran, 🇹🇷 Turkey and 🇵🇰 Pakistan to integrate in their host communities
