"Donbas" comes from the mid-19th century industrial revolution. It is a type of "rust belt" economic region with a local identity tied to heavy industry.
However, this does not imply that the region was lifeless in pre-modern times.

Many were disenfranchised in 2016. A majority still support being in the single market, with free movement, whether that be in the EU or some kind of close relationship like EEA-EFTA. Why are Labour (and Conservatives) so deaf to public opinion?
