Can we PLEASE stop saying "People will still vote Tory despite...". OF COURSE! There'll always be about 40% voters who buy what the Tories sell at elections. And they've ALWAYS been the minority. Fixing the UK isn't about convincing them. It's about the Left working together!

To those saying that "Centre" isn't left. Yeah, sure, but relatively speaking... The Tories have been in power for 46 of the last 76 years. So for as long as any of us have been alive they've been the political median average of UK governments. Anything to the left of that...

I'd just go for anti-tory myself. That is still the majority across the UK. Although I might give up on England soon.

Starmer's Labour are way closer to the Tories than the left. That's why the PLP-right did everything in their power to lose 2 GEs

And that the person occupying that "centre" has been previously happy with left wing policies. I'm not satisfied with the opposition, but it's the same old purity tests from the same old people

Median isn't the usual measure of average, though, is it? The terms left, right and centre are international terms - English and politics exist outside these cursed isles. They're in power because the centre was more afraid of the left. The centre won't all go left.

You're the voice of reason, so don't expect Corbynistas to agree I'm so frustrated because the brutal truth is that people don't want Corbyn's policies. Blame the media if you want, but it isn't going to change We just have to vote for whoever is most like to remove the Tories

It can't just snap to the left overnight imo. It would cause more problems in the short term. The damage already done is going to take a long time to fix and as long as we have FPTP, the Tories will win because there will be no vote split.

Overton Window has moved to the Right. (Train goes to the left)
