So in Norway 馃嚦馃嚧 as a chemo patient you get free delicious coffee and food when you arrive for your chemo #bcsm @ThanksCancer @bccww and the patients are smiling!!!! I鈥檓 very confused but perhaps it鈥檚 the drugs or something

Some very passionate conversations today at the @CancerNel patient advisory group about the need for consistency in services and better communication and signposting to support for people impacted by cancer.

2 hrs waiting for my zometa infusion. Get called in, only to be told I can't have it because I've not had a blood test. Nobody told me I needed a blood test. I could have had it when I arrived & the results would have been back in that 2hr wait. Rather cheesed off. Back tomorrow

Just finished a @HUHDiabetes T1 peer grp mtg where we shared our experiences of inpatient care. We'd love to share our stories with a wider group of professionals to make a difference @NHSHomerton. @CatherinePelley, @HomertonSafety, @QIHomerton how can we make that happen?

The upside of medical #menopause is that the night hot flushes keep you warm at night when camping.

As promised @carolyngarritt, I took my poles out for a scenic spin yesterday, in lieu of @cancer5kYourWay. Ended up walking over 6 miles.#GetYourOomphBack ##CanRehab

Something I I didn't think I'd ever say I'm really enjoying my weight training sessions". Thanks @carolyngarritt #GetYourOomphBack #CanRehab

Being out of the house by 7.40 on a Sunday morning was tough but after helping @curiouswilds we were rewarded with a beautiful, sunny walk to feed the ducks and see the last of the bluebells..home for a rest now.

We've just got back from celebrating my husband's 50th birthday @Diggerland_UK Kent. The adults had as much fun as the kids, if not more. Thanks to all the staff for being so friendly and safety conscious.

A year ago I sat in oncology outpatients like a rabbit in the headlights. Today I sat & spoke to a lady who was diagnosed a few weeks ago. She asked me lots of questions & we talked about how hard it is to tell people you love you have cancer. #PeerSupport in the waiting room

Excellent service from #NHS111 this morning. 45 mins from initial call to first antibiotic being given to my 13yo with tonsillitis.

Fatigue + insomnia are horrible side effects of the hormone therapy drugs I'm taking. They work really hard together to see how to see how tired they can make me but won't let me sleep well @ThanksCancer #bcsm

Fun in the mud on Parliament Hill! #NordicWalking ended up being a tad muddy but rather funny today. @carolyngarritt #CancerRehab #GetYourOomphBack

The fab @HUHDiabetes is looking for a new Lead Nurse. As a patient I think it's a hidden gem of diabetes excellence. Have a look & then have a chat with the team or us patients (we'll tell you how great the team are). beta.jobs.nhs.uk/candidate/j鈥 @DSNforumUK @_diabetes101 @NHSHomerton

I honestly don't know what I'd have done without @maggiesbarts in the past year. I'm so thankful I discovered it just 3 days after diagnosis.
馃挰 鈥淢y centre makes me feel safe and understood. It's somewhere I can laugh and cry without judgement, get cancer information I need or forget about it. It's been vital for my recovery and helped my family too.鈥 鈥 Lauren 馃А Just come in. Retweet to help us spread the word.

Today, I gave myself a #Zoladex injection under the watchful eye of the chemo nurse. Next month, I'll be at home on my own. I need my independence back & not to be tied to a monthly hospital/GP trip for the next 5 years for something I'm quite capable of doing #LifeAfterCancer

My daughter had a careers assembly today @gmatschool & brought this @HealthCareersUK book home. Great to see so many NHS careers described in really clear and accessible language. @jackainsworth65

@jstjohnmatthews the first thing she said was that the book mentioned therapeutic AND diagnostic radiographers, not just radiographers! I'm training her well.

I'm 4 weeks into the joy of Tamoxifen and Zoladex. I've started having really short but strange, vivid dreams. Wasn't expecting this strange side effect @bccww #BCCWW
