Realism check- Dems can’t primary Manchin. It would inevitably result in an R picking up his seat, but @kyrstensinema @SenatorSinema is a different story. She has a 25% approval among Dems here. AZ is increasingly young, brown and urban 1/

1. The J6 committee is full of lawyers. 2. Lawyers cannot suborn perjury. 3. Hutchinson testified Trump attacked Secret Service agent. 4. That agent has already given a deposition. If he contradicted Hutchinson's story, she never would have been allowed to say it.

It was long ago reported that the Secret Service agents in question have already privately testified to the 1:6 committee. Jamie Raskin now says he hasn’t heard anything that’s conflicted with Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony. This suggests the Secret Service has corroborated her.

I’m gonna say this before things get out of hand on legal SCOTUS. B/c it is true that many brilliant attys & profs, especially women, have been predicting this moment since 2018. The voices of the “calm down” folks (largely men) were given greater prominence and credibility.

Wow. Lt General Michael Flynn, a lifelong military member and a three-star general, took the fifth amendment when asked if he believes in the peaceful transfer of power in the United States, a question one might assume would have been part of his oath. #January6thHearings

We’re looking at going back to the country of my birth. We don’t want our grandson or grand-daughter here.
I have never heard so many of my friends legitimately considering permanently leaving the United State after college if they have the money to do so. They don’t want to raise a family in a country where their kids would have less rights than their parents did and kids aren’t safe

LOL. You might be in trouble when even Fox News -- the mouthpiece of the GOP -- comes out and says it was "devastating" testimony. Still thing it's funny? Because you just got completely owned by a 25-year-old you've tried to keep silenced. How well did that work for you?
That was their star witness? Ok then. 😂

Hey Bart, hearsay is applies in a court of law, not a Congressional hearing. Note too, there are lots of exceptions to the hearsay rule.
No she wasn't lol she stated she was told this by somebody else which makes it hearsay.

Panicked italics from Trump-world “journalist”, I’ve never heard of before.
You GOTTA BE KIDDING ME. "Cassidy" was a joke. Telling silly stories that mean nothing. "A friend told me that Trump did such and such"---CASSIDY IS FULL OF CRAP. And the FAKE NEWS is pretending this is WATERGATE? They don't know ANYTHING!!!!

Hey, @LeaderMcConnell - How about one more impeachment trial with what you know now, convict Donald Trump, and make it so that he can never hold public office again. Is *this* enough now?

Don't be distracted by claims of "hearsay." That goes to whether evidence can be admitted in *court,* not Congress. The key is that Hutchinson testified *under oath.* If she was lying, she faces felony charges. The same can't be said for those trying to discredit her testimony.

Here's what we learned: Trump knew the crowd on Jan. 6 was heavily armed. Prepared for violence. He wanted the magnetometers taken down, as the crowd was no threat to him. He then directed them to the Capitol, where they threatened his VP. And he was perfectly fine with that.

I am blown away at the strength of the cult in the face of direct evidence of a fascist move to end the democracy. Trump supporters and most of his voters are ho hum about sedition and willingness to sanction violence.
Each one of these hearings is calmly traumatizing
