All of this talk of delivery in the Conservative leadership contest. They've delivered some mess to this place - not just the fallout from the post-Brexit protocol, but their solo run on legacy. Listen to the louder conversation we're now hearing about a different way.

Just a few days until the anniversary of the fall, or more honestly the retreat by the western world from Afghanistan. Can I ask for more DM鈥檚 for those who served with UK and still stuck RT鈥檚 appreciated too
For those Brits still stuck in Afghanistan, a media outlet would like to do an interview if you are happy to do so? If so, please DM me, we can use pseudonyms to protect identity if needed. #Afghanistan

So @nadhimzahawi, where is the money if that's the case? Why have @hmtreasury not paid it? You know this is at best a half truth: it *can* be delivered without an Executive in theory; however, there is currently no mechanism to do so. The quickest way is via an Executive.

DUP have run out of excuses. Continuing this stunt while people face destitution is unforgivable. 1.4m are set to face fuel poverty in NI & time is running out to establish a support scheme. Whatever about the Protocol - you can鈥檛 eat a flag, or heat your home with one either.

Why do I not believe a word that comes out of @gordonlyons1 mouth? @BBCgmu Get back to work & deliver policy that will support our most vulnerable. It鈥檚 disgusting that you take a salary whilst ordinary people suffer.

@duponline has bypassed the safety net that was agreed in January 2020. No Assembly Chamber and Committees were not agreed upon. That is why we need leadership with a firm floor, especially now that the Boris Johnson PR campaign is over.

Why aren鈥檛 we all camped on the lawns of Stormont now? We seem to have completely lost faith now. Not even the social media algorithms support People who are genuinely concerned. The gallery should be filled and with thousands outside when we have the next recall for a Speaker.

This is mad. Someone sent it to me from @DocumentBelfast @tiktok_uk page. Belfast鈥檚 Tourist chief does his best to sell the city to potential tourists in 1974. They were grim times, he pulls no punches. Hilarious but true

Every time #Truss uses the word 鈥渉andout鈥漣t is pejorative, reinforcing that she believes there are worthy and unworthy, that the people she cares about are the already comfortable. It鈥檚 Libertarian Calvinist ideology. #R4Today

A safety net was not enough. We need a floor. We need leadership. We need People before Parties. Nobody is in charge. We are surprisingly tolerant, patient and much further ahead. We need the elitist self serving political class to catch up and gain much more social awareness.

Poverty is the result of bad policy. We need the institutions to be up & running. We need normal government here. This flip flop from crisis to crisis is not putting money into the pockets of the most vulnerable people. Urgent action is needed. We can no longer ignore the
26% of children here live in poverty We鈥檝e the highest rate of infant mortality in the U.K. and therefore Europe 71% of houses in NI are expected to have fuel poverty A disgrace that we have no government here in 2022. An utter disgrace.

Why do we not see greater pressure for a return to Stormont? Look at the school uniforms issue. Action is taken two weeks out from the start of the school year. For the public that's generally what they see, actions that are a day late and a dollar short.
