How do you know they are dissidents? Where do you give them the visa? It doesn’t make any sense.
Right now the Russians are not facing any consequences for this horrific invasion. Stopping visas for their pleasure trips to Cannes is the very least France can do.
Asylum visas of course should still be granted to dissidents.

I am opposing a visa ban on Russians for two reasons : (1) the measure has no any realistic achievable goal, (2) it is contrary to European values to randomly punish innocent individuals : it is not because the other side doesn’t respect any value that we should forget ours.
