I went to Sachsenhausen on a school trip back in 1993, 48 years after it was liberated.
29 years on and those images are still burnt in.
I can’t even begin to imagine the sheer horror of what it must have been like to have been sent there when the camp was operational.

I went to a C of E school.
Not being christian we were allowed to opt out of assembly, so me and the Jehovahs Witness kid used to spend the time designing video game levels on graph paper instead of pretending to sing along to "All Things Bright and Beautiful" like the faithful.
