So sad! TFG just handed Taliban all. Didn't even involve our Ally Afghan Gov. No exit plans for May 1st. Reduced our forces to only 2500 while giving Taliban 5000 and their leader. He knew this would happen. So shameful.

Literally it isn't all accurate. 1. Trump had a plan. Afghanistan was in loop but not happy about. Cond'l Peace deal was brokered. Cond'l withdrawal process began. Biden elected. Despite being warned by Afghanistan Study Group Biden said he would stick to the plan, but didn't.

Pompeo negotiated with the Taliban without the Afghan govt at the table, undercutting the govt we spent 20 years installing. Trump withdrew down to an insufficient 2500 (or half as many Taliban he released) in Jan (& his transition team didnt share any info w/ the incoming admin)

Afghans new the plan, so did our European allies. Plan necessary for safer withdrawal. Biden could have increased troops easily on Jan. 20. He has been President for 8 months. He was fully advised, and advised rhat attacks were up and he should revise the strategy. He said no.
