GAS peds DEATHS in UK keep rising. As of 3/16 40 peds deaths from GAS in England alone, likely close to 50 for all of the UK. Based on YEARS of CDC data an avg year based on pop. size would be 6-7. Max ever previously recorded 27. It's not just "Immune debt" folks.

1/ Canada's healthcare system was not overwhelmed by COVID this winter (we were throttled in 2021 & 2022).
This is due to high rates of vaccination coupled with recovery from infection (hybrid immunity), early access to treatment, etc.

After Healthcare workers, teachers had the highest number of COVID claims throughout the pandemic.
There was clear evidence that schools weren't safe and were driving infection, and the BCTF did nothing. about it.

Yes. Since at least 3 years data & facts don’t matter. The important thing is the illusion/perception “we” generate in the public.
Ironically, had we focussed on data &facts, not on messing up w/ perception, the pandemic would be already truly over. (over=no or episodic spread)

Why are you still pushing the dream of hybrid immunity? That may have had some relevance for past variants. The data for omicron says that hybrid immunity is NOT durable (Lancet article in link). NACI’s recommendations are already out of date. #LongCovid
ICYMI, the world’s preeminent immunologists studying covid variant cross-immunity, citing recent data, said:
“hybrid immunity is poorly durable.”
Maybe the media and pundits can stop treating it as a panacea to justify pretending everything is fine?
