When you see a daily life incident and find it stupid, you joke/laugh on it, so why not on beliefs, cultures etc.
1
Now now, which of the belief / culture is stupid? Ppl talk so much about tolerance/ religious freedom ,but when it comes certain belief , all of the sudden Its stupid. Ain't this Hypocrisy
1
I am with freedom of speech to mock whatever you see as stupid or worth mocking...I am not representing any people here...to not take me as representing a group of people who are hyprocite.
1
Easy to quote Article 19, It comes with reasonable restrictions. "Such right does not give right to an individual or a group of persons to provoke or instigate someone to commit an offense or encourage communal violence or disturbance" 1/n
1
"Such rights should not be effecting the repation of an individual or make it prone to hate ridicule or repulsive" You need not be representing any group of people.
1
Where is the line? Who draws the line? Who says the line is crossed? Whether the line was crossed by the speaker or the violence doer, who maybe took it in a different way? Laws are not morals or 'right in every situation' Laws have loopholes Laws work mostly for the rich
1
The speaker should know where his rights stops and it becomes offensive. One would know if he/she has crossed the "line" when they hear from the authorities. Laws are there to enforce/ protect the "Rights and social responsibility"
1
Anyone can get offensive about anything...the offensive word has no conditions or examples well defined. Authorities with an ideological bias, money motive, vote bank motive etc. we don't know if he/she really crossed the line and thus in many cases, nothing offensive is found.
2
Spreading hate/ offensive comments , be it as individual or as a group is a crime in eyes of law. Where do you draw the line on whose right is more imp ?
1
Criticism cannot occur without offending someone...freedom of speech is more important...it is the person's low mentality that he can't counter the point and got offended and resorted to violence (just like Muslims do).
