I got a lesson in kindness from my wife today. She helped me dial down my inner lawyer and to not hold a grudge.

Thanks, Patricia. We’re really excited about the new place. Yesterday I bought a SimpliSafe security system & Nest thermostat. Today we decided on window treatments. Here’s part of our new fence. I love the way it looks.

I like your new fence, too! The horizontal boards make it really attractive. Window treatments, SimpliSafe and Nest . . . sounds like you're getting there. Best wishes for an uncomplicated move (well, as uncomplicated as any move can be). It's an exciting time!

Congratulations on the new home! And nice fence! As you may know, “good fences make good neighbors.” Haven’t thought about that Robert Frost poem in a long while — but I’m guessing it’s said tongue in cheek. Santa Fe is wonderful. Haven’t explored much yet — but it’s coming!
