The essence of this kind of op is to pinpoint vulnerabilities and opportunities to exploit confirmation bias, telling people what they want to hear, especially when they want to hear something stupid that will become a wedge issue. The Trump Era was Disneyland for these ops.

I've made a real study of Putin. The more I learn about him the more I realize how much contempt he has for all those he manipulated here, especially Trump. I imagine there were conversations among the siloviki about whether Trump was too good to be true, suspecting an op. 😎
