Love this story! Congratulations Congresswoman!
We have come so far since I was a brand-new Member of Congress and the youngest Black woman ever elected. When I assumed the role, I knew Congress needed to do more to save moms’ lives. Enacting the Protecting Moms Who Served Act was the first step to making that happen.

Thank you Sen. Warner for being a fighter for Virginians! Speaking from personal experience, I've been impacted by a government shutdown. I have to tell you that It was scary & devastating to me personally & financially. Not to mention the stress and worry you feel.
Government shutdowns are not minor inconveniences – they delay paychecks and obstruct essential government services. This isn’t the time to play politics.

As a mom, I worried how I would put food on the table, pay for my mortgage and take care of my kids. As someone who has a clearance, this potentially placed my clearance & job in jeopardy. I couldn't agree more Senator, we should not play politics with people's lives! #shutdown

Another American tragedy. The pain the families, school employees, the students and community feel after the school shooting in Michigan, is just heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers are with Oxford High School.

I’m running for Governor because opportunity in our state shouldn’t be determined by zip code, background or access to power. #gapol Be a founding donor to my campaign: secure.actblue.com/donate/af…

Well....
It's wild that a third of the Supreme Court was appointed by a man who attempted to overthrow the United States government, and we just continue to let those judges hand down decisions.

Rikelman: "There is no less need today ... for women to be able to make this fundamental decision for themselves about their bodies, their lives, and their health." Bottom line: This is a fundamental right for women! #DobbsvJackson

Replying to @SCOTUSblog
What Kavanaugh is tacitly alluding to here is the argument by some abortion opponents that fetal life is protected under the 14th Amendment -- a view that, if adopted, would essentially make abortion unconstitutional. Kavanaugh suggests he is not receptive to that view.
