Has there ever been an economic system, or operating protocol, in which the rule-maker was not also a player in the game? These systems seem to require implicit trust, yet the rule-maker consistently deceives the trust of the players. Players in the game have no alternative.

Jesus brought the Word, and humans sang the Gospel and created great works of Art. God’s emotive show is viewed through the eyes of Man. There is something profoundly humbling in that. The base layer is Existence. Humanity is the derivative.
The return on socio-political info has crossed the inflection and it’s value is diminishing per unit added. We’ve learned that being skeptical of nearly everything is the healthy response. The ideological reorg is nearly complete. If you are not skeptical now, you prob won’t be.

To the skeptics: the road to cynicism is exciting, but ends in a dark dead end - an unhealthy mind. You’ve seen enough to be skeptical, which proves a healthy mind, and now it is time to go live in the world with sincerity and humanity.
Man, I did not see Damar Hamlin being the next “thing”, but here we are.

It’s ok to be wrong about something … I am wrong all the time … surprises me that ppl are so uncomfortable being wrong … it happens all the time to everybody.

Reconnected with a dear old friend tonight. We parted ways during all the madness of the past 2 years. After some time and reflection, we realized we were staring at the same beast, but from different angles and it felt good to be civil and build off ideas again. Don’t give up.

Bitcoin, unironically, fixes this. It predicates that unconditional trust is impossible for humans, so why fight it? Remove the rule-maker and implicit trust. Distribute and decentralize management of the rules. Make no assumption of trust. Allow truth to be verifiable by all.

The rule-maker’s protocol and the Bitcoin protocol can co-exist, but the majority of players are incentivized to protect the Bitcoin protocol because it helps all non-rule-maker players live a fairer and more just life over time and space. Incentivized mutualism > altruism.

Over the past three years, the mainstream and establishment leaders have collectively disintegrated the gravitas of the word “conspiracy”. I’d guess, in total, accusations from them have less than 25 percent chance of being true. It’s become a deflection and people are noticing.

We don’t need to trust/rely on centralized *promises* of “altruism”targeted at the pet projects of cantillionaires. We already have decentralized and distributed mutualism in Bitcoin.

Earlier today, I opened a fortune cookie, and on the back of the little piece of paper inside the cookie I read “FTX”. You can run, but you can’t hide.

Broke: pumpkin-spiced lattes Woke: hearty beef stew and rustic bread Bespoke: sleeping with your windows open for as late into the year as you can possibly stand it

Approaching peak sleeping season. Few things better then cold air and the smell of dewy late-season leaves to stay comfy. V accommodating to all body temps. Clears the dog farts right out of the room. Simple pleasures.
Despite what feels like ubiquitous forces of politics, media, conflict, and central planning, we need to find ways to turn it off and turn in to what is real in our daily lives. Local. Neighbors. Family. Community. Spirituality. Lift each other. There is joy in every day.

Fatigue of one type has transitioned into fatigue of anything that can be perceived as having political overtones, and I sense a period of silent desperation as many would rather turn away and endure the consequences than continue in this way.
