LA1/ Roe v Wade, Louisiana, Texas, Missouri, Ohio etc. This 🧵 assumes: a) State goals as restrictive as legally possible. b) Any tactic that survives challenge will be copied by others. LAWYERS, HELP? Which tactics likely? I started 🧵but then great paper popped up, see LA7.

Dr. @MichaelEMann may well be the most hated scientist in conservative America, especially for his peer-reviewed studies, especially "THE GRAPH," which upsets their deep devotion to climate denialism. factcheck.afp.com/doc.afp.co… #ClimateBrawl #ClimateCrisis #ClimateEmergency

Update: Tracking verified my hypothesis. About 15-20% of my unfollows come from bot-like account closures. Around 55-60% come from accounts leaving Twitter that don't look like bots (have been here for a long time, have real name+photo+legit bio). 25% are just regular unfollows.
Many have been noticing decreases in followers the last few weeks. My list of 'scientists who do climate' has shrunk by 2% & my followers by about the same. So the most likely conclusion, at least for me, is that most of the decrease is due to people closing their accounts.

Did you know that most abortion seekers are already parents? Parents seeking abortions tell us that they want to focus on providing for the children they already have, and when they can access care, their families thrive.

Been having a recurring thought re new energy technologies that I wanted to float with what is left of this audience: the most likely new energy technologies to scale are the ones that rely on the fewest distinct energy network infrastructures. Feedback welcome! #energytwitter

Is this a joke? Twitter is urging me to “follow more accounts.” (I follow hundreds). Then, it’s top suggestion for new accounts I “might want to follow” is Elon Musk. #Desperate.

LA171/ Current map, AFAIK, updated from LA143 with results of November elections. CA & VT strengthened protections. MI resolved uncertainty. KY and MT rejected further restrictions. FL Supreme Court ruling awaited, although GOP supermajority likely to work for more restrictions.

.@brucewilson’s research may well have been the straw that broke the MAGA’s back in the 2022 Governor’s race in PA. Thank God for his tenacity.
Deep research can pay off, years later (but not in financial renumeration.) Still, the Mastriano footage I harvested in early 2021 led to a wave of negative PA news stories on his 2022 run for governor; his poll numbers sagged immediately following.
