Whatever else the China balloon has done, it certainly has provoked a lot of hot air from a lot politicians and conspiracy theorists and right-wing media personalities who don't know diddlysquat and have no responsibility for the security of the country or safety of people.

Funny how you never mention that if you sell land to Jews in Gaza it’s punishable by death, but in Israel, where 2 mil Arabs can buy/sell property, worship freely, participate in parliament, serve in the IDF, sit on Israel’s Supreme Court, that’s “apartheid?”

The current Israeli government, with it's "judicial reform" plan, was able to accomplish in 1 month what the BDS movement could not accomplish over 20 years. Idiots.
That's not the argument that was made. One of AOC's worst attributes is addressing arguments through straw men rather than through charity. She's hardly the only one though.
Let’s examine one of the GOP’s arguments yesterday: that criticism of US/Israeli gov’s role in the Palestinian human rights crisis, which orgs from @hrw to @amnesty are sounding the alarm on, is equivalent to antisemitism. It’s a dangerous conflation, and we must recognize that.

An important point with respect to the issue of colonialism.

Rubbish, not the same at all, Palestine became Israel because Palestine was one of many mandates. Arabs/Muslims benefited the most from the mandate commission, got sovereignty over 99% of the middle east.

As I said before black voters are quite literally the only firewall left between sanity and insanity and should the day come if and when we can't vote or just give up that will be the day the world actually ends. Believe it.

What would they "debate" about?
.@RepAOC I have repeatedly asked you to debate me, but you have been a coward and can’t even respond. But you go on @CNN and lie about me. When are you going to be an adult and actually debate me on policy instead of run your mouth like a teenage girl?

Biden Boom continues. Headlines about debt ceiling should read "Will Republicans crash the Biden economy out of spite?"
JUST IN: The US economy gained an astonishing 517,000 jobs in January – much better than expected. Unemployment rate: 3.4% --> Lowest in decades. Wages: +4.4% for past year (up 0.3% in January) Bottom line: This is NOT an economy in recession

Gas stoves. Chocolate Milk. They are scraping the bottom of the barrel for culture war issues.
The fight to #SaveChocolateMilk continues. 🍫🥛 Proud to propose a federal law that would require ALL schools to offer flavored milk. School kids deserve access to nutritious & delicious milk options that our dairy farmers work hard to provide. nypost.com/2023/02/02/rep-st…

Between leftists defending Omar's antisemitism and right wingers demanding that Denocrats go along with a political lynching to show their opposition, our politics have become absolutely toxic.

She does this by adding the"housing" and "homelessness" categories together and pretending they are the same thing. Incredibly dishonest.
Among NYC Democrats, *housing* -- not crime -- is the most urgent issue facing NYC today. Homelessness and affordable housing: 40% Crime: 30% Per today's @QuinnipiacPoll poll: poll.qu.edu/images/polling/n…
Can the Ref call a TKO on this? Torres beating on Santos just isn't a fair fight.

You do realize that mentioning your Jewish constituents in terms of fundraising perpetuates the same antisemitic trope that you have attributed to Ilhan Omar? And since you mentioned your Jewish constituents, maybe you should listen to them? 👇 forward.com/fast-forward/534…

Being Jewish sitting here watching Dems pointing fingers at GOP with “You are the rEaL aNtIsEmItEs” & GOP pointing fingers at Dems with “You are the rEaL aNtIsEmItEs” and wondering why not ONE representative is saying “We both harbor antisemites & we need to rid of all of them”.

What scares me about the latest round of democrats and republicans fighting who is the bigger antisemite is that one day they will look at each other and say: “look at these Jews dividing our nation”. Because history has shown that’s how it always ends up.

The following can both be true: Ilhan Omar's views are reprehensible and at odds with those of the vast majority of Americans and they have no place in the United States Congress. And also Politicizing the fight against antisemitism is bad for the fight against antisemitism.

Even Arafat would issue condemnations of suicide bombings, albeit perfunctory.
Why does it seem like the expectation to not celebrate terrorism from pro Palestine activists is deemed as a direct assault on their human rights? Very “how dare you moment” moment from people expecting the world to view them as perpetual victims with reasonable demands.
