My constituent has been waiting near a yearly for a response from the Home Office on a visa renewal. She is a single mother who has been diagnosed with breast cancer and this is only adding to her stress. @PritiPatel needs to get a grip as Home Office delays are ruining lives.

I showed my support for mandatory ethnicity pay gap reporting at @unisontheunion drop-in event, alongside @justinmadders. The Government should follow Labour's and the Women and Equalities Committee's calls and support its introduction.

Last year I made hundreds of representations on behalf of my constituents, fearful for the lives of relatives in Afghanistan. The @ukhomeoffice did not even read those emails. Those responsible for the failed evacuation must resign.

The Met has repeatedly come to the rescue of the PM during this scandal. Knowingly or not, they assisted the PM as he sought to delay and cover-up. Is it one rule for them and another for the rest of us? The @metpoliceuk have made their answer clear. #PartygateCoverup

The Prime Minister lied to Parliament and he lied to the country. Resign.

Evictions at Masafer Yatta in the occupied West Bank would see thousands of Palestinians forcibly transferred from their land. The UN has been clear that this could amount to a war crime. The UK must back sanctions to end apartheid in Israel. #SaveMasaferYatta

First, they scrapped the Department for International Development. Then they cut the aid budget by billions. Now they've adopted China's development policy: aid for trade. This is the redistribution of wealth from the global poor to the global rich. huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/p…

The PM has avoided further fines by scapegoating those he is supposed to be leading. He is letting dozens of his junior staff members, mostly women, take the blame rather than resign. He is incapable of taking responsibility for anything, even Number 10. #Partygate #resign

Half of women over 40 said they would put symptoms such as confusion down to: 🔴 menopause 🔴 natural part of ageing ➡️ It comes as diagnosis rates hit a five-year low with experts believing that tens of thousands of people are living with undiagnosed dementia.

The Privatisation of our energy sector has failed. In one of the richest countries on earth, thousands of people die each winter because they can't afford to heat their homes. It's time to run our energy sector for people, not profit. #CostOfLivingCrisis #Energycrisis

This week I voted for an emergency budget to tackle the Tory cost of living crisis. The Conservatives voted it down. We need to get urgent financial help to people who are in need, but the Tories are sitting on their hands. #emergencybudget #CostOfLivingCrisis

Last December I wrote to the @ukhomeoffice about my blind and elderly constituent who has been placed in overcrowded and unsafe accommodation. 5 months later, despite subsequently raising the case with Minister @kevin_j_foster MP, I've still had no response. #Torybritain

Good luck to students across Edmonton, who started their GCSEs this week. Exams are stressful at the best of times, made much harder by the disruption caused by the pandemic. I'll always admire what students and teachers have achieved in the face of such a turbulent few years.

BREAKING: @SummerForPA has won in #PA12. She ran a working-class, people-powered campaign to become the first Black Congresswoman in PA despite the millions in attacks from Republican-funded SuperPACs. She's an inspiration and model for all future progressive campaigns.
