Alliance MLA for Strangford. If today someone is helped by our actions then it has been worth the effort. Opinions are my own!

Bluffer’s guide to NI Protocol. Those who voted Remain and lost (ie the majority) have adjusted to Brexit & are getting on with making it work, while those who voted Brexit and won ie the DUP) are furious and want to rip the whole thing up. Have I understood that correctly?

Don't forget, the DUP did for May and enabled Johnson, who delivered hard-core Brexit, and its corollary, the Protocol. It's almost funny.

So @BrandonLewis @simoncoveney as the outdated and excluding designation system is being used to stop NI from having a government, any chance we could remove it? #endDesignations #endpoliticaldiscrimination
Should the NI Assembly stop using the Designation system (it excludes Others from Cross Community voting)

Today I was in the Chamber. I voted for @mikenesbittni and then @patsymcglone to take the role of Speaker. Due to designation rules both votes were vetoed. NI is without a working government because DUP is using you as a bartering tool in their row with the UKG

This thread makes for good reading for those who cannot understand the potential and opportunities that will be wasted for NI by Tory actions to appease the DUP
A welcome opportunity to set out business concerns about the risk to the reputation of NI as a place to do business and invest. Newsnight carried a snippet, but there's a few other points worth restating... 1/
