For some reason when i try downloading on either of these websites the download either has an error or just kinda removes it self

That is weird, please try to contact itchio support if you can't seem to download. Once downloaded extract the zip file

I tried both the app and website but it still doesnt work and each time i contact the support they really dont help, i'll give it some time and try again i guess
