Yes but it takes decades to approve & deliver them. Also can't be ramped up and down at short notice so only useful as baseload not balancing renewables. In the interim there is no getting away from gas and we have a real problem on storage and options. That should be the focus.

That is not going to solve gas prices.. Get a grip of Russia and sort out the ridiculous pricing. Gas bills will kill off the hospitality industry... Time to get tough or inflation will be out of your control

Great news! The major problem with UK nuclear has been financing not technical issues. Time to deploy at scale & with greater urgency with a spread of standard reactor types: Large baseload plus SMR peaking units & high-temperature for synfuel/industrial heat. #nuclear4NetZero
