My incredible dad 馃挃 What an honour it was to be his daughter.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sad passing of our dear friend and Tower Blocks UK co-founder Sam Webb MBE. A passionate advocate for the safety of people living in tower blocks, always compassionate & engaging with residents. We will miss him so very much.

Such awful news about the death of Sam Webb, who was sadly proved right time and again about fire and structural safety problems in #ukhousing An absolute giant in his field, an amazing & canny campaigner... and, boy, could he tell a story. Thoughts with his family & many friends

Over the weekend we were given the sad news about Sam Webb passing away. Sam was instrumental in supporting us when we were at the Ledbury Estate. He also taught me so much about campaigning for safe homes. I filmed this and it was the first time I interviewed him.

This clip is taken from a extended interview I did over three days with Sam where he talks about his life, Ronan Point, Lakanal, Grenfell, Ledbury and the state of housing and building safety in Britain. This was the last time I saw him. Sam a legend in the housing movement RIP.

I was terribly, terribly saddened to hear about the death of Sam Webb MBE over the weekend. A hero of mine and a tireless campaigner for the safety of tower block residents. Hope he rests in peace and his legacy lives on.

So much to say about this wonderful man. It was only because of Sam that we tenants at Ledbury were listened to & safely rehoused. Because he cared so deeply and he stood by us - giving us his time & expertise, as he did for so many. He was one of the best. We will miss him.

Blocks built within 10 days, cladding panels fitted one every 7 mins. Many of these Sectra blocks are still in existence today. This film highlights just how shockingly speedily they were constructed.
This interesting film documents how pre-fabricated tower blocks were quickly constructed in the 1960s. invidious.fdn.fr/zS2TeDppVpk

Queue is such a great word. The actual important letter, and then four more silently waiting behind it in a line.

I am lost for words. Sky News reporting the Justice for Chris Kaba march as a tribute walk for the Queen's death. Disgraceful.

This time last year Jenrick was Housing Secretary. We are now on the FOURTH(!) Housing Secretary in the last year. Unsurprising that the #BuildingSafetyCrisis is far from over. Leaseholders need some consistency + stability, not this constant whiplash. #EndOurCladdingScandal
