The Tories are now the most economically right-wing major party in the developed world. And they have no democratic mandate.

When Kamikwazi+Tross say they are “sticking to the plan” be aware the plan includes slashing welfare spending for the poorest and running down the NHS so that they can seek to justify opening it up to the markets. These are dangerous people and have to be ejected from office soon

Twice this morning Truss has said that nobody will pay more than £2,500 for their energy this winter. Which isn’t true.

This is not a debating society, it’s a disaster. Pensions at risk, mortgages rising and prices soaring. Tory MPs can either back Labour’s move to recall Parliament so this kamikaze mini-budget can be reversed or choose to be complicit in this wrecking ball made in Downing St.
Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng says his mini-budget "was absolutely essential in resetting the debate around growth" bbc.in/3ChtGlI

Johnson's attempt to wriggle out of facing the privileges committee over charges relating to partygate by engaging legal advice has cost about £120k - charged to us. Why should we pay for it? Considering this is about his alleged misconduct as an MP he should pay for it himself

This would give Labour a 480-seat majority if repeated at a general election. Conservative MPs losing their seats would include Liz Truss, Boris Johnson, Kwasi Kwarteng, Jacob Rees-Mogg, Therese Coffey, Michael Gove, Matt Hancock, Jeremy Hunt, James Cleverly and Dominic Raab.

£2500 is *not* the maximum any family will pay on their energy bills this year. We wrote to the PM about getting this wrong yesterday. This morning, she’s repeated the false claim again in local BBC interviews. The public deserves better. fullfact.org/economy/Truss-e…

Why are we still funding the Tory Party's European Research Group (ERG) through MPs expenses funded by the taxpayer? They are secretive and unaccountable so why are we paying?

So Susanna, please make sure every Tory apologist you interview is confronted with this absolute lie, which Truss has doubled down on this morning; please do this, for the sake of all those of us who can only rant and despair on Twitter

I was with a photographer who rang his energy company in despair as his bill was going from £3k to £5k. “I asked why it wasn’t capped at £2500 like we’d been told”. This is why the govt trotting out the £2500 figure is misleading. The cap is per UNIT of energy NOT per bill.
