For some lore I guess, she wants a boyfriend or husband yet in one of her adventures she meets this guy with a Psyduck. The Psyduck just acts nicely to give her his scarf, after that, she likes Psyducks but wants to meet *him* which later was always the Psyduck.More on that later

So all of the 20+ mins is them finding the guy, spending time with the woman, and thinking she liked the guy and so did the guy itself. It seemed like we all got bamboozled as she love the Psyduck more than the man.
