Dear Lee, Nurses with families cannot live in single rooms. Hope that helps.
Katy works for me. She is single & earns less than 30k, rents a room for £775pcm in Central London, has student debt, £120 a month on travelling to work saves money every month, goes on foreign holidays & does not need to use a foodbank. Katy makes my point really well.

Mick Lynch @RMTunion tells the Transport Select Committee the government added in a clause for driver only operations, which means no guards on trains, in order to scupper negotiations. "They wanted the rail strikes to go ahead," he says.

The briefing published ahead of todays meeting reveals that far from being a ‘facilitator’ of negotiations, it is the government that is in complete control of the dispute The briefing document titled ‘The Secretary of State’s control of the National Rail Dispute’, shows that: ⬇️

In an interview with @MickWhelanASLEF from @ASLEFunion this morning the interviewer tried to pitch nurses against train drivers. Micks answer? Yes, other workers absolutely deserve what train drivers have fought for and won.

Steve Montgomery, who is also MD of First Group, but is speaking here on behalf of the Rail Delivery Group, whose train operators need sign off from the DfT to even send a letter to @RMTunion, tries very hard not to answer the question he’s been asked 🤔
The Tory transport minister is accused of blocking a deal between the train companies & @RMTunion by insisting on the addition of clauses the union cant accept The head of the RDG (the org of the private train operating companies) is asked about it. Notice how he doesnt deny it?

GS Mick Whelan: ‘This increase – which will be difficult for hard-pressed passengers to bear – has nothing to do with pay on Britain’s railways as we haven’t had a pay rise for three and a half years at the 15 companies with which we are in dispute.’

This is another myth. If you like, I can post the video from the Transport Select Committee where both Network Rail and the Rail Delivery Group say they’re not aware of it ever happening and Huw Merriman admitting that, actually, it was a rumour that originated at Westminster 🤔
Replying to @RMTunion
The RMT want a modern railway that includes : (1) "Workers spoken to during their lunch or tea break will start their break again."
