Scratch my head and wonder, why would TfL go out of their way to destroy The London Taxi Trade? My retweets are not an endorsement.

Watch: Sadiq Khan’s ‘death trap’ crossings where one in 10 cyclists stop for pedestrians telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/03… The insanity of @MayorofLondon Sadiq Khan, of course if anybody gets hurt and complains he will just call them Right wing Activists (His new answer to Mayor's Qs time)

Filming to show how important black cabs are in London for blind & visually impaired people & this happened @NetworkRailEUS ‘Please do not ride on here lovelies, this is the disability bay. You really have to start to understand what this impact of people riding on pavements is’

I really like the fact that Harry Brook went to his local comprehensive school and only won himself a cricket scholarship to Sedbergh at 14. Until then, he learnt cricket at his local club. We need more Harry Brooks. We need more state school kids playing cricket #GrowTheGame

You’re only bringing this in because the government refused to give you a cut of the VED of all vehicles that are licensed in London. You’re perpetuating a lie to produce another revenue stream for the TfL that you’ve bankrupted.
To those who look at the ULEZ purely in terms of financial cost to motorists: what about the human cost of delaying? How many more Londoners can afford to have their lungs irreparably damaged? How many more children are we willing to let inhale poison? bbc.in/3XsLFNb

This is another disgusting example of your political opportunism on the back of the death of this poor child, after her mother claimed the #LTN report to be a #WHITEWASH & the FACT that your #LTN road schemes have INCREASED POLLUTION but you both use her death for political gain

Remarkably when Uber won their appeal against TfL for not renewing their license, @SadiqKhan instructed (or seemingly so) TfL not to appeal against it, although the thousands of complaints were there for all to see Why would TfL, under the Mayor’s instruction appeal this one?

#ubercrash after #ubercrash and after showing these to the supposed people in authority, they choose to do…..nothing. Where they should have shone a light they have all looked the other way. Money it seems speaks louder than Londoner’s safety. @LondonAssembly @MayorofLondon
This is horrific! @TfLTPH must understand why taxi drivers abhor being enmeshed with rideshare drivers, whereby the nature of their job is to be transfixed by a satnav. Uber has failed in its duty to conduct a workplace risk assessment, it is time @TfL conducted their own!

The anti-London autocratic councillors at @CamdenCouncil still feel they haven’t gone far enough with their spiteful, vindictive & idealistic road closures. It works in Amsterdam (pop 800k) & Copenhagen (pop 620k) but not in London (pop 9.2 million). savebloomsbury.co.uk/2020/05…

It’s simple really, he prefers to do business with these people, currently TfL sell around 150 licences a week. It is all out war for some reason, castigated and pilloried by the media, why? We spend 4 years learning our craft and he has waved us away like some demented emperor.

Imagine committing 4 years of your life to the Knowledge, buying a taxi for £60k, then to be lied to about “a renaissance of the taxi trade” he oversees 300 new PHV licences per week, discards us from his transport policy, and then closes down our place of work. People are angry

I wonder what the thoughts would be from members of @LDN_gov & @LondonAssembly if a member of their family was in need of this ambulance? Would you ask @MayorofLondon or @CityWestminster to reinstate the former safer road layout, or wait till a major terrorist attack take place?
New layout on Regent street a disaster for Ambulances! No cyclists!!

Seems to me that modern government is all about making already wealthy people even richer. Lied to by successive Mayor’s of London and supposed allies that turn tail, I hope everyone that involved in the state aided takeover of our trade can sleep well in their beds tonight.

The representatives of the party that is meant to fight for the working class have instead gone to war against those very people they are meant to represent. I dare them to stand by the A13 and tell “those little chappies” in their work vans that they should cycle to work instead
