We marched today for an open, inclusive, accepting world. We also marched for love. Everyone should feel safe to be who you want to be and free to love who you want to love. That's what makes London the greatest city in the world. 📺 @ITVLondon

Here's @MayorofLondon Sadiq Khan at the #Prideinlondon march. Fantastic to see high profile politicians like Sadiq showing their support, even if they didn't get the rainbow dress code memo. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

All women should be able to walk home safely. My thoughts and prayers go out to Zara Aleena’s family and friends, who came together with others today to remember her life and complete her journey home.

Everyone is entitled to feel safe and be safe, and we must do everything possible to bring an end to violence against women and girls.

50 years on from the first Pride march in London in 1972, it’s an honour to see the veterans from the first march lead the procession today. I’m delighted that we can show the world that our capital is a beacon of inclusiveness, acceptance and diversity. 📺 @BBCLondonNews

Exciting to see @GoogleUK topping out their incredible new building in King’s Cross! London is Europe’s leading hub for technology & innovation and continues to thrive after the pandemic. I’m proud councils are working with businesses like Google to support local communities.

A wonderful tribute to Dr Beryl Gilroy, Camden’s first Black headteacher, acclaimed author & respected broadcaster. I hope this new artwork by Fipsi Seilern will inspire Londoners to learn more about the great life of one of Britain’s most significant post-war Caribbean migrants.
This is the moment Head Teacher, Sam, Deputy Mayor for Communities and Social Justice @Debs_WB and Beryl Gilroy’s daughter, Darla unveiled the incredible new artwork– you can see it for free @WestHampsteadPS voice-online.co.uk/lifestyle… #LDNWMN #BehindEveryGreatCity

Congratulations to @THTorguk on 40 years of pioneering work fighting stigma around HIV. You’ve been at the forefront of a movement that has made incredible progress over the past four decades. We can all play a role in reducing HIV stigma by getting tested & encouraging others.

I’m incredibly proud to be a co-signatory to London’s @FastTrackCities initiative. London aims to be the first city in the world to end new cases of HIV, stop preventable deaths, end HIV-related stigma and improve quality of life by 2030.
