Current state of the inventory in-game, going for a simplistic style
The panel on the far left displays information about the selected item, the panel on the far right is for clothing
The space between the inventory/clothing slots is where the character will appear
Finally learning substance painter properly so I can give my models some nicer textures, I'm surprised at how quick and easy it is, I wish I did this sooner😅
So here's my first attempt, a nicer piece of wood!
Thinking about the lore of my world, basic humans are kind've boring.. I'd like to make something very obviously based on humans, but slightly different to give them some fantasy elements (like Hylians for example)
So I slapped some elf ears on that boy!
Put some work into a less-boring default clothing set for the character today. However, I was referencing @onemegawatt's character design for Botanicals and ended up copying it way too closely.. so I'll need to make a lot of changes 😅

Rigged and weight painted the player model today 😄
Here's what an overalls clothing mesh looks like - it includes lower legs and nothing else, this allows players to swap out different t-shirts, shoes etc for player customization
