During the hearing on Florida's restrictions for requiring students wear masks, one of the attorneys representing parents has been coughing all day. She told the judge she caught covid from her preschooler.

This hearing is virtual because the judge said last week that there was an outbreak among court staff. Also, another attorney representing the parents says a medical expert has covid too ->
And one of our medical expert's child has it too.

Earlier, one of the parents suing DeSantis was asked who she knew has had covid and she couldn't even name everyone. "Dozens," she said.

Yep, this is true.
And one of the witnesses, an MD, apologized for the noise her children were making in the background. They are home from school because both have covid.

It says it earlier in the thread but just to reiterate: The hearing was virtual. The lawyer had a Zoom background on but I would imagine she was home. Also, as I said before, she represents the parents suing DeSantis over the restrictions on school mask mandates, not the state.

Making noise is a good sign that they might still be okay.

I hope that this was a remote hearing and not a(nother) Florida super-spreader event.
