Government threatens to take the right to strike away from workers. This is the same Govt that has taken away many of our rights to protest. And the same Govt which is removing rights of legal recourse, such as judicial review; and restricting FoI rights. Anyone see a pattern?

piece on @BBCPM about Dutch plans to purchase farmland to reduce the horrendous amount of pollution (esp Nitrogen) caused by intensive farming especially dairy. I hadn't realised the Dutch massively overproduce dairy products. Amazing this can still happen under the CAP.

Although to be fair, abolishing guards and forcing a transition to unsafe driver only trains has been Govt policy since the Southern Rail fiasco in 2016.
Transport Secretary Mark Harper refuses to deny at @TransportCttee that the Government inserted the new issue of driver only trains into the rail dispute at the last minute last weekend, which scuppered a deal, ensuring misery for millions of passengers at Christmas. 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Meanwhile in Britain a significant number of Tory MPs - and their activists in the media, academia and Tufton Street, attack any organisation prepared to explore their role in, or connection to slavery, and the enormous wealth it brought into this country.
The king of the Netherlands ordered an investigation into the royal family's role in colonialism and slavery. The Dutch kidnapped and enslaved 1.7 million African people, with the slave trade generating 40% of its economic growth. The government says it plans to apologize.

At this point it might be easier if the list is of those areas of the public sector who are not striking.

you may think it bizarre, but with everything that's happened here these past six and odd years, I'm ruling nothing out. What if it wasn't Prince Harry, but Prince Andrew, who still lives here, and will no doubt be bristling from being taken off the Counsellors of State list.

No more cabinet level (or even a lowly back bench MP) influence to get big contracts for his mates. That'll be Handcock barred from his local then.
My letter to the Prime Minister 👇 I look forward to exploring new ways to communicate with people of all ages and from all backgrounds

knowing what we know about the Govt's approach to buying tests for Covid, they've probably given the contract to Matt Handcock's mate from the pub.
