The 3 lakh to 10 lakh population category winners have been felicitated by the Hon'ble MoS, MoHUA, Shri. Kaushal Kishore during the award ceremony of the #IndianSwachhataLeague on Day 2 of the #SwachhSheharSamvad & Tech Exhibition.
The award ceremony of the #IndianSwachhataLeague has reached the category of 1 lakh to 3 lakh population. The Hon'ble, MoS, MoHUA, Shri. Kaushal Kishore has awarded the ultimate champions for their praiseworthy efforts throughout the campaign.
Also, Mark Tegenfeldt, Director, @USAID who chaired the session - Used Water Management on the second day of the #SwachhSheharSamvad & Tech Exhibition, emphasized the holistic approach toward sanitation and water management & the essentiality of women's leadership and empowerment
Ending the session on a high note, Shri Nikunj Srivastava, Principal Secretary, Madhya Pradesh, appreciated the panelists for showcasing their learning and experiences as a blueprint for solidifying the used water management across the country.
Speaking on the Used Water Management, Kumar Gaurav, General Manager Jal Kal - Prayagraj highlighted the overall Sewerage Treatment Facilitirsof 268 MLD capacity & 72 MLD capacity likely to be completed by end of this year.
He stated that the city is using approx 25-30 million liters of treated water per day.
Showcased the presentation of treated water and road cleaning processes across the region. Also, Prayagraj has planned to use STP-treated water for industrial purposes & irrigation needs.
Sharing the vision, challenges, strategies, outcomes, and future roadmap, Shri Daljeet Singh, Chief Engineer Punjab Water Supply & Sewerage Board, focused on an integrated approach for used water management.
Ashish Sunil Rokade, Karad Municipal Council shared his learnings and experiences on the reuse & recycle of treated used water. The town effectively & efficiently overcame the challenges of land arrangement & selection of treatment technology.
Prof. Absar Ahmad Kazmi, IIT Roorkee, commenced the final session of the day by expressing his views on strategies and suggestions to facilitate the reuse of treated water and fecal sludge management.
JS and Mission Director, SBM - U, Ms. Roopa Mishra, facilitated the dignitaries on the dais by giving mementos and concluded the second session on Day 2 at the #SwachhSheharSamvad & Tech Exhibition.

Shri Bajirao Mali, Executive Engineer SWM, @NashikCorp, highlighted how the city prioritized collection efficiency and door-to-door waste collection. He also mentioned the Integrated solid waste management plan and the city's work on processing and disposal at the same place.
Further, he threw light on the objective of the FCO, i.e, ensuring adequate availability of the right quality of fertilizers at affordable prices to farmers. Emphasizing the concept of waste segregation, He stated that it helped in improving MSW compost quality.
