.@WHCOS: Kevin McCarthy's "speech was a validation of the soundness of the BBB bill, b/c he had 8.5 hours, he couldn't do damage to the bill, he was just able to offer a bunch of conservative bromides, falsehoods, talking points, stories about fictional swim meets in the 1940s."

Kinda weird how the entire media got so quiet about gas prices once the White House took meaningful steps to help ease them.
.WHCOS: The president announced a "plan to work w/ other countries to release oil from their reserves to push the price of gasoline down-- the largest release out of US reserves in history... It's always hard to get the price of gas down, we've taken concrete steps to do that."

If Republicans shut down the government, I think Marjorie Taylor Greene's salary should be withheld in the same way it would be for millions of American workers.

There are more than 41,000 federal law enforcement officers who would not be paid if the GOP shuts down the government, including ATF agents, DEA agents, Deputy U.S. Marshals, and prison correctional officers. The Republican Party is literally trying to defund the police.

Replying to @GOP
The GOP is actively rooting for chaos and calls high prices a 'gold mine' for their political chances. At the same time, they are making your schools and businesses less safe, putting your life and the lives of your kids at risk. Chaos. Covid. And Death.
NEW: Rick Scott (R-FL) just called inflation a "gold mine" for Republicans to exploit to their political advantage. They are literally publicly rooting against American workers.

With the amount of energy, excitement, and grassroots donations that Stacey Abrams and Beto O’Rourke are receiving, it’s easy to see why the GOP has spent the past year relentlessly passing voter suppression laws in Georgia and Texas. Don’t let the GOP silence you.
