Occasionally, a creature emerges from the leaf-litter that is so weird, if it were a reconstruction or a drawing, you'd think it was fabricated. A male🕷️collected from a Charnwood woodland, Leicestershire: Walckenaeria acuminata. Check out his👀👀👀👀

They've already ran off with £72bn of our money, left our rivers full of sewage and abstracted local chalk streams to a point of extinction and to top it all off you're about to face the biggest increase in water bills in 20 years. And gov approved it. bbc.co.uk/news/business-6448…

Bad tax policy has a human cost. I'm a numbers guy. I think the VAT chart I posted yesterday is compelling evidence there's a problem with the VAT £85k threshold. But then people post things like this...

Dogs are the new smoking. We used to put up with smokers everywhere - pubs, every public space. No-one did anything until we woke up. Now dog emptiers & off-lead dogs spoil every part of the country, however remote. Things must change.

Growing problem & not just coastal waders that are getting lifted repeatedly 😕 Huge growth in uk dog ownership in recent years - something must be put in place to deal with the impact of weight of numbers 🐕

Just an echo chamber Need to engage with @TheKennelClubUK @RSPCA_official @WoodgreenPets @DogsTrust etc And with MP's to lobby for dog licensing, compulsory micro chipping and dog owners training courses

It’s high time that @NorfolkTour @NorfolkCC @NorfolkWT @HolkhamEstate @Natures_Voice got together to discuss this. The pressure on wintering shorebirds along the N Norfolk coast from dogs is undoubtedly having a huge detrimental effect. Zoning is absolutely necessary.

If we standby and do nothing we will be responsible in having allowed the selfishness of a few to cause the decline of our wintering shorebirds & the loss of enjoyment of so many visiting birders and people. The coast is my workplace and it’s tough to watch the damage & impact.

What’s even more concerning is teven if you try & quietly try to engage with some of the dog owners you often get a ‘I live here’ or ‘there not breeding now’ total ignorance is one thing, but a selfish ‘I don’t give a shit’ just shows that signs and education isn’t enough.

#Brexit is a self inflicted economic wound. It was built on lies & they’re still lying - refusing to face the facts - Brexit is bad for Britain. At the v least we should be joining the single market & customs union. Best of all - we need to be back in the EU
