A panel of Indigenous women academics conducting a roundtable critique of whiteboy nerd culture getting all discombobulated because they are de-centered in an imaginary alien attack will be a blu-ray extra, I am fervently hoping.

I'm really glad that Prey kept with the Slasher formula of the first 2 movies, and it's fascinating to watch randos online struggling to understand the final girl dynamic of Dutch or Naru vs a Mary Sue formula (like Clint Eastwood in pretty much every western he was in).

Reminder: @ChuckGrassley and @RonJohnsonWI would not shut about about Mueller's team wiping phones that Strzok and others used after they left the team. Crickets now.
Acting SecDef Miller and Kash Patel of DOD join acting Sec DHS Chad Wolf and Ken Cuccinelli - along with most of USSS - in having their Jan 6 texts deleted. DOD received FOIA for the texts days after Jan 6. Funny all these coincidences stacking up. cnn.com/2022/08/02/politics/…

Senate Republicans BLOCKED the #PACTAct, critical health care for veterans with illness caused by toxic burn pits. Even though many Republicans supported it just weeks ago. And they celebrated.

Say, whatever happened with Bill Stepien's baby? We were just reciting this dialogue from The Godfather - no reason - and thought of his wife - again, no reason.

Can confirm. #RoJoGottaGo
Senator Ron Johnson said he’s “fully supportive” of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade and ripping a fundamental right away from millions of women across the country. Wisconsin women won’t forget when they go to the ballot box in November.

Yes, you have to vote Democratic for every election, every office, if for no other reason than to keep Republicans from making things worse.

This thread pretty much says everything.
The seven interpretive habits of naively cynical people: 1) no one cares 2) no one is doing anything (often said within hours of an event, as though the federal govt. and other large entities should pivot on a dime, and of course crickets when the response comes within days)

That's why we have elections MORE THAN ONCE. It's an ongoing process - and it's ALL our jobs to keep doing it. You only keep moving forward by continuing to move forward.
Democrats who are upset about Roe are saying "WE VOTED!" as if that vote was going to solve all our problems. I voted, too. But I realize elections happen every year, so I will vote again and the goal is to give Dems a BIGGER majority. Stop with the excuses. Vote again.
