The US used to really not tolerate foreign ambassadors trying to suggest voting for their country's benefit. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murchi…

Thinking about an axiom of British law -- "If anyone lies once, their testimony even under oath can be discounted." Perjury convictions exist because people do lie under oath. A side that fabricates testimonials is dishonest. Nothing they say they're for can be believed.
Made one of the Pasta Grammar's recipes for Italian flat bread. Next time with peanut butter as a sandwich fillling. Need to roast and puree more peanuts.
Most of the problems in the world are due to cranky twats locking themselves to what they think are good causes. Being a 20 something romantic is understandable. Being a 70 something romantic with a good plastic surgeon is hilarious.

Heard a young man speaking English on my block today. We've had one Canadian woman visit with a Nicaraguan husband, a pair of Canadians, and now whatever this US person was (tourist, part-time missionary?). A friend will be visiting the last week in March. Tourism, mixed yay.

La Colonia has miso, but no oyster sauce. Sigh.

Luis, a Nicaraguan, has discovered kimchi. It works well with tortillas and eggs apparently. I've been making kimchi at home since the local Napa cabbages are huge. Kimchi isn't that different from some Central American pickled cabbage salads.

Really cold last night and this morning. If this wasn't the tropics, I'd have turned on the heating. As is, I wore a thermal undershirt and a long sleeve top and socks with my sandals. Currently 62 F going down to 56 F tonight. A day where I didn't do much of anything.

Sometimes, Twitter and other social media is more boring than the novel I'm plotting in my head.

Fermented the kimchi on the kitchen cabinet counter for most of three days and just finished putting it in the Greek Yogurt containers to keep in the refrigerator until eaten. Napa cabbage and white Chinese radishes are grown locally so they show up in the municipal market.

I have a new short story collection (all the previously uncollected stories) coming out from Aqueduct Press to be called "Collected Ogoense and other stories." Much thanks to L. Timmel Duchamp.

Got a new bedstead after the plastic legs on my 12 year old box springs began breaking. Luis bought it in the market. $120 for the bedstead, $20 for getting it to the house. Shrug.

British friend has a very old dog who defended her against someone coming at her fast. Yay for dog guardians.

My animals and a view to the courtyard and back room. A bit too muddled for stock submission, but shows what DXO PhotoLab 6 can do with a high ISO photo.

The oxygen feed in the local hospital. One side is for nasal cannula feed and the other for inhalation therapy with inhaled meds. Every other bed in the ward had a bedside feed like this.
