By the way, a tax of up to 5% on the world’s multi-millionaires and billionaires could raise $1.7 trillion/year. That would be enough to lift 2 billion people out of poverty and fund a global plan to end hunger. We can't afford NOT to tax the rich.

There's not a thing on planet earth we couldn't do with the money the government already raises in taxes. If the government got that money, they'd just waste it like they do all the rest and then they'd be back saying they need even more like they always do.

Globally, more food is produced than the entire world population can eat. This isn't an issue of money or taxation. This is an issue of corruption. If we eradicate corruption, we eradicate poverty and hunger. This is not hard.

And yet 4 trillion plus in wealth redistribution hasn’t done it. But it HAS created a stupid, heedless, rich and arrogant political class…

You have been taxing the rich and there has been trillions in redistribution…it seems something gets lost in overhead and corruption when you government types get more money.

We couldn't already lift people out of poverty with the trillions we now spend?? Do you hear yourself, sir?

$1.7 trillion would barely cover the 2022 federal deficit!
