Replying to @badgalTG
Most homeless people aren’t on drugs. The rich make you focus on BS like that so you aren’t looking at them not paying. Rich people do drugs and many of their fortunes were created by crimes some go back to slavery. Poor people are not our enemies we need to learn that.

Behold the power of @Krita_Painting 5.0! 🎉 😄 (The power in *this* case being getting me to play with hand drawn animation again. 😀 YMMV. 😂)

(Did take bit of time to figure out how to get onion skinning to display as expected--cos: * Onion Skin "light bulb" icon not displayed on paint layer by default; * Icon only appears *after* key-frame added to layer & default disabled; * Icon is light bulb not onion bulb.😄)

But all up, great to see Krita v5.0 released & look forward to play with it some more. (Also: How fortunate are we to have *multiple* quality FLOSS options for creative animation apps to play with?!🎉 Thanks to all people making this possible--some of whom are even paid! 🎉🎉)

(Did I ever mention how much I hate @Twitter's fake GIFs these days? 🤮 Wish they'd stop intentionally breaking tech that actually, you know, provided people with small degree of control, autonomy & lack of platform lock-in.) For a laugh let's see how badly .mp4 gets butchered.

I want to ask my non-Black followers and network to think twice about taking up space and taking the mic in #BlackTechTwitter spaces. Simply that. Think about how you take up space and what you are adding to the conversation.

daily reminder that you can *always* talk about your compensation with your coworkers. It's legally protected. If a boss tells you otherwise, it's time to turn tail and/or get them in trouble for labor violations~

On the flip side, if you do care about/read cover letters, recommend that people send one in your job postings

If you don’t care about cover letters, explicitly state that one isn’t needed in your job postings. It will save candidates a lot of time, especially those from excluded groups who often feel like they have to just do one just to be safe.

I'm not really sure why I'm sharing this, but I'll tell you this much. No one needs to be told they're not good enough to succeed in STEM. The people told this to probably already think it (even though I'll tell you right now that it's *not* true).

Trying to study for an exam, take an exam, complete a project, work with classmates, or master new concepts becomes incredibly difficult, if not downright impossible, when at the same time you're battling these thoughts constantly.

The amount of time I spent during college second guessing my intelligence, whether I belonged, if I could succeed, if I should keep trying, whether or not I'd actually get a job in the field- The thoughts never left my mind. Ever.

So much this! 😀 It's an important realisation I had a couple of years ago. What's the concern? That we're suddenly going to run out of new productivity solutions to try? 😄 Pretty sure people with ADHD probably keep productivity product sector in business single-handedly. 😂
Many productivity strategies aren’t “forever” solutions. Once we accept that, it’s easier to stop judging ourselves and try something new. PS. If you’d like ✨new ideas✨ to get shit done, I made a book of 100+ productivity activities! (Pre-orders: anti-planner.com)

Same. Claims to be a James King from Australia. Says he got my number from “a source.”
This happened to me too 2 days ago and it turns out from the same person as @evacide. I've been extremely creeped out. Do NOT give out people's numbers without consent.

But that willingness to make mistakes is some part of why @jeremy_fielding now has industrial robot arm made in his own workshop & bunch of other tools too! So pay off seems pretty good!😄 Thanks for being open to sharing the authentic development experience @jeremy_fielding!
